Toyota sometimes call back their products for risks and product defecets. A callback from manufacturer named as recall in auto world.

A car recall is when either the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or car manufacturer finds a potential safety issue with a vehicle or a certain component on the vehicle. Recalls most commonly involve brakes, fuel, airbags, steering, risk of fire or seat belts. If your car is recalled, the severity of the issue will decide the next steps, and these will be communicated by the DVSA or manufacturer.
The car recall will remain open indefinitely, however, it is in both yours and other drivers best interest to get the issue dealt with as quickly as possible to ensure the car is safe to drive.

Additional information | Expansion campaign: We already reported on this in 04/2013. At that time, only 950,000 directly affected vehicles were converted from the vehicle volume of 1.7 million. The remaining 650,000 vehicles are now also being converted. According to the manufacturer, triggering problems can occur due to the manufacturing process of the propellant charge of the gas generator for the passenger airbag. The excessive pressure causes damage to the airbag housing, which then prevents the airbag from deploying. After checking the serial number, the dealers will exchange the affected passenger airbag modules from the supplier Takata. The process takes about an hour and is free of charge for customers. |

Additional information | A build-up of engine oil in the intercooler can occur. The causes lie in the engine software and possibly also in the tightness of the turbocharger and vacuum pump. If this engine oil gets into the combustion chamber while the vehicle is being driven, there will be a great deal of smoke (environmental pollution). The dealers perform a software update and check the turbocharger and pump for leaks. In the event of a leak, these are replaced with new parts. The campaign starts in March 2015, lasts around half an hour (software update) up to seven hours (when replacing components) and is free of charge for customers. |

Additional information | The screwed connection of the brake line on the wheel brake cylinder (drum brake) or on the brake caliper (disc brake) of the rear axle may not have been tightened with the correct torque. This can cause brake fluid to escape, which can lead to the fill level in the expansion tank dropping below the minimum. This is then indicated by a warning light in the instrument cluster. If no action is taken then the brake could fail. The dealers tighten the screw nipple or the banjo bolt of the line with the required torque. The campaign runs from Sep. 2013, lasts around half an hour and is free of charge for customers. |
